THE DESIGN PROCESS

Inspiration Intake Meeting
During this first introduction meeting, our job is to explore your stylistic inclinations through determining the environment that you want to create for you and your family. This will look at colours/tones/textures that excite you, specific features you would like to include, spatial organization desires, and lifestyle focused amenity requirements.
Reflected Ceiling and Floor Finish Plans
Our role in this phase of the process will be to expand on the floor plan layouts provided by our architectural design team for optimization purposes. From there we will include floor finish details, a detailed lighting plan, ceiling design details, millwork locations, and fixture placement details.
Millwork and Feature Wall Elevation Design
At this phase we bring your interior to life. Everything you have seen until this point from an interior perspective has been from a “top” or floorplan view. Our goal in this phase of the interior design process is to provide you with “elevation” plans that show you what the cabinetry, tile, and other significant feature walls look like as if you are standing in front of them! This process helps us determine the functionality of plumbing fixture placement in showers, storage in closets, and appliances/organizational feature placement in kitchens.
3D Interactive Interior Models
Upon completion of the core drawing packages, we will provide you with an interactive 3D walkthrough that helps you understand both the interior proportions, natural light performance, and other interior details. This is an important part of the process for many of our clients as it provides a level of realism that aids in the approval and product selection process.
Project Management
Once your project is in the construction phase of the process, our interior team will visit the site multiple times in order to ensure that their designs have been accommodated. Minor design adjustments at this phase of the process are common and we provide practical solutions to achieve your proposed stylistic goals.
